Name: Autumn Anderson
Parents: Pam and Kent Anderson
Hobbies & Interests: In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities. Singing is something I really enjoy, along with reading and watching movies when I want to unwind. Spending time with my family is important to me, as it creates unforgettable memories. Recently, I picked up watercoloring, and it’s been a great creative outlet that helps me relax and try something new.
School Activities: High school has been such an amazing experience, and I owe so many of my favorite memories to all the activities I’ve been part of. At MOC-FV High School, I am involved in the Pride of the Dutchmen marching band, Dutchmen Jazz 1, our fall musical, orchestra, choir, large group and individual speech. Beyond the arts, I’m also active in quiz bowl, student council, and the National Honor Society, and I’m proud to serve as a senior representative for the Leader in Me Lighthouse Team.
Spare Time Activities: In my free time, I’m active with the praise team at First Reformed Church, where I sing and play baritone saxophone and violin for special occasions. I also look forward to attending the church’s youth group on Wednesday nights, where I connect, pray, and support others as we continue to grow in our faith. In addition, I have worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) at Prairie Ridge for the past year and have absolutely fallen in love with it.
Education/Career Plans: I plan to attend a four-year university to pursue a Biology degree with a pre-health emphasis, with the goal of continuing on to medical school.
My dream is to become either a pediatrician or a neonatologist!
Past Tulip Festival Participation: The Tulip Festival has always been such an exciting time for me, and I’ve loved being involved in so many ways over the years. I’ve been part of the Dutch Dozen for three years, and performing in the Tulip Festival Night Shows, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Footloose, and The Wizard of Oz, has been one of the most memorable parts of it all. Dutch dancing has been a part of my life since second grade, and I’ve been rocking a Walcheren costume in the Mode Show with my parents and sister since before I could even walk!
