The Kiwanis 28th Annual Tulip Festival Road Race and Tulip Walk

Northwest MOCHA (Maurice, Orange City, Hospers & Alton) Kiwanis Club’s proceeds

are donated to area service projects and charitable organizations.

 

ALL SPORT CENTRAL WILL HANDLE ONLINE REGISTRATION AND EVENT TIMING!

 

Place:       WINDMILL PARK – downtown Orange City. All activities begin and end at Windmill Park.

 

Events:                   Men’s 5K                                                                Age Divisions:

                                Women’s 5K                                           1) 17 & under          4) 36 – 45

                                Men’s 10K                                              2) 18 – 25                5) 46 – 55

                                Women’s 10K                                         3) 26 – 35                6) 56 & +

                                One mile and 5K Tulip Walks (no age divisions)

 

Entry Fee:                Before May 1 - $20

                                May 1 and after - $25

 

REGISTRATION ENDS:      Friday, May 16 at 9pm

 

Times:                     Friday, May 16                       6:30-9:00 pm  Packet Pick-up (Strongly Recommended) 

                                Saturday May 17:                    7:00 – 7:45 am Check-in & Warm-up

                                                                                  8:00 am Race time (All events)

                                                                                 10:00 am Presentation of awards

 

Awards:                  $40 cash prize is awarded to the overall winner of the men’s and women’s 5K and 10K races.

                                $20 cash prize to the overall 2nd place finisher of the men’s and women’s 5K and 10K races.

                                A commemorative wooden shoe will be awarded to 1st place finisher in each race and age division.

                                2nd and 3rd place finishers in each division receive race certificates.

 

Course:                    The course winds through residential neighborhoods on hard surface roads and is flat with a few gradual

                                inclines. Race routes are point-to-point loop courses and measure 5K (3.1 miles); 10K (6.2 miles) runners

                                complete two laps. Certification pending.

 

Misc.:                      Pre-registered participants receive commemorative Kiwanis Road Race T-shirt. (Shirts not guaranteed to

                                participants who register on race day.) Showers available at Vet’s Park on Michigan Avenue. Water,

                                juice, and fruit provided after the race. Family Discount: Family of 2 - $30; Family of 3 - $40; Family of

                                4 - $50. Family discount is available prior to May 1 only, and by mail-in registration only.
