Registrations accepted for 30th Annual Tulip Festival Road Race

Orange City, IA -- The Orange City Tulip Festival Road Race and Tulip Walk -- sponsored by the MOCHA Kiwanis Club of Maurice, Orange City, Hospers, and Alton -- is set for Saturday morning, May 15. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the popular event, held in conjunction with the 70th anniversary of the three-day Tulip Festival.
Registration is required for the 5K and 10K races and the one-mile and 5K wellness walks and is available online at ocTulipFestival.com or on the All Sport Central web site at allsportcentral.com. The course is officially certified and professionally timed. Prizes are awarded in various categories, and teams are encouraged to enter. The course map is also available on-line at ocTulipFestival.com. The course begins and ends at picturesque
Windmill Park, and winds through residential neighborhoods on hard surface roads. All proceeds for this event are donated by the Kiwanis Club to area service projects and charitable organizations serving the children of the community. This year's artwork was created by Jamey Schiebout of Orange City, and will be featured on T-shirts given to participants.
