The Friends of the Festival is a non profit organization that accepts donations to help better the Orange City Tulip Festival. Past projects have included new sound systems for the parade route and Windmill Park and new seating for the city hall which hosts the Dutch Dozen and the Night Show.

Dear Friends of the Tulip Festival;

Spring will soon arrive, and our Tulip Festival is only three months away. We are excited to celebrate our 69^th annual festival. Our celebration relies on the many wonderful volunteers in our community. One of our biggest assets is our financial supporters. We are writing to ask for your monetary support for the Festival through the Friends of the Festival Foundation. Last year your donations enabled our Tulip Festival Steering Committee to purchase many positive enhancements such as: Dutch Street organ books, a large wooden shoe in the park, band travel incentives for our visiting bands, a new paintable backdrop for the night show, and completion of the straatmarket booths. In 2009 we hope to acquire the following:

New Current Queen and Court float
Costume research trip to the Netherlands
Visiting band travel incentives
Barker Booths for Central Avenue
New Sound System—3 year project

We are open to any community suggestions and ideas for new endeavors. Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Friends of the Festival Foundation in support of these projects.
