FRIENDS OF THE FESTIVAL Downloadable Friends of the Tulip Festival info and donation form available here. The Friends of the Festival is a non profit organization that accepts donations to help better the Orange City Tulip Festival. Past projects have included new sound systems for the parade route and Windmill Park and new seating for the city hall which hosts the Dutch Dozen and the Night Show. If you are interested in more information or to donate please contact us at tulip@orangecitycomm.net or (712)707-4510. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Friends of the Festival, Spring has arrived! Our Tulip Festival is only two months away! We are excited to celebrate our 68th anniversary. Our celebration relies on the many willing volunteers in our community. One of our biggest assets is our financial supporters. We are writing to ask for your monetary support for the Festival through the Friends of the Festival Foundation. Throughout the past years your donations enabled our Tulip Festival Committee to purchase many positive enhancements, such as: two pedicabs night show theatre curtains new floats sound system new chairs for town hall website pole banners straatmarkt retail booth DVD
This year we hope to purchase: new organ books for the Dutch street organ (5 or 6 @$300 per book = $1500-$1800), a “large” wooden shoe for photos = $2000, band travel incentives - $2000 estimate, new backdrop for future night shows, and complete the straatmarkt booth. We are open to any community suggestions as to new endeavors.
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Friends of the Festival Foundation in support of these projects Your contribution enables us to provide a “fun-filled family and friends experience” for all ages.
Thank you for your consideration! Deb De Haan, volunteer Friends of the Festival Foundation Chairperson
Gifts of all sizes are welcomed and needed! Click here to view and print a copy of the letter and giving form.
