April 15, 2008 IOWA ROD & CUSTOM PROMOTIONS BRINGS CAR SHOW TO ANNUAL TULIP FESTIVAL IN ORANGE CITY. ORANGE CITY, (Iowa) - Iowa Rod & Custom Promotions, Fairfield, Iowa, in conjunction with the organizers of the annual Orange City Tulip Festival will be bringing a car and truck show to the annual event this May. The event will take place at the downtown hospital campus parking lot on Saturday May 17, 2008 starting at 9am with awards at 4pm. “I am excited to be bringing a car show to Orange City as part of the Tulip Festival this year. We do a couple of shows each year and are always happy to partner with another organization to start a show. Car shows are a lot of fun and are great chance for the people to re-visit the past and relive the memories of hot rods, first cars, classics. It also stimulates the dreamers of what would be cool to own or drive. Car shows are great examples of what a person can do with a little imagination and turn a ordinary form of transportation and transform it into a unique art form on wheels,” states Andy Nelson, President of Operations for Iowa Rod & Custom Promotions. We are hopeful that this year's car show in Orange City will become an annual show. This event will be a top 25 show. We anticipate 25-50 vehicles to come out and join us for a fun day at the Tulip Festival according to Nelson. Bert Aarson, chairman of the Tulip Festival steering committee says, "We're excited to offer a new attraction to the Tulip Festival. The car show will add another dimension to the Tulip Festival and will bring more people to the festival. Our intention is to provide attractions for a variety of interests.
